SCHOOL NEWS
Bring your ideas for the volunteer appreciation to our first meeting on Thursday, April 5th @ 3:15 in the library. We need help with theme ideas, decorations, food and overall planning.
Kudos
To Luis for keeping his eyes open at all times looking for suspicious activity and keeping our school safe. From the playground to the parking lot and within our school, he is aware of people coming and going, questioning those without authority. Thank you Luis!
Intruder At School
On Wednesday, March 22 we had a Emergency Preparedness Meeting followed by our monthly PTC meeting in the library. At 8:45 pm, while the PTC meeting was in progress, Kalay saw an unknown man walking by the library windows. Kalay and a parent immediately went to the stranger. The man claimed to have been in a fight and he was in need of a ambulance. Kalay called 911 while our parent distracted the man with small talk. The man spoke as if he had mental health issues. Emergency vehicles arrived and the man was taken away in an ambulance.
We must be vigilant about keeping all outside doors closed and never wedged open at all times. If you see someone without a name badge please escort them to the office. Thank you for keeping us safe.

Equity Leadership Team (ELT) Cohort 12 - Call for Certified Staff Membership
The Office of Equity and Inclusion in the Department of Teaching and Learning is accepting applications from those interested in serving on the 12th ELT cohort. The focus of this new cohort is on an introduction to culturally relevant teaching practices across all content areas and grade levels.
