3B and 3D Happenings

October 28th -November 1st

Math

Learners started new menus last week and got set up on Think Through Math-which we love!

This week, your kiddos will be working on telling time to the nearest minute, ordering numbers, and graphing.

Reading and Language Arts

Last week, we had a guest reader, Mrs. O'Neill come and read us a Halloween book. It was hilarious!

Next week, we will be focusing on Daily 5, synonyms and antonyms, and prefixes.

Did you get your child set up on iStation? It is such a great way for learners to practice skills that they individually need!

Spelling

Do you know about www.spellingcity.com? You can enter your student's spelling words and they play games and take tests on their words! I would recommend focusing on 10-15 words.

Science

In science, we will be learning about force and motion! We have some fun and engaging activities coming our way!

Social Studies

In Social Studies, learners will begin studying a famous explorer. Last week, they chose an explorer and wrote the person's name down in their planner. For the next couple of weeks, each child will research an explorer and then report out about that person. Learners may choose how they want to report out. Do they want to write a report? Do they want to make a video or PowerPoint? I can't wait to see the creativity!

Homework Expectations

We have SO many resources that your learner can be working on for homework. For math, learners have access to Reflex and Think Through Math.

For reading, learners have library books to read and iStation.

Our expectation is that learners are reading books or on iStation 3-4 times a week and on Reflex or Think Through Math 3-4 times a week. Please use your discretion and what your learner needs. Thank you so much for your support!
