Eagle Soar

December 15th, 2017

Over the month of December, we have enjoyed many activities celebrating our CUES family. Students and staff have been sending messages of appreciation and kindness to one another. These messages have have enhanced the positive relationships in our building.

We would like to thank Mrs. Schatzle for her time, dedication, and positive energy in organizing our Holiday Giving Project. We held another successful food drive. Additionally, Mrs. Schatzle gathered organizations in our community to support families in need during the holidays. These families will receive food and gifts for their Christmas. We appreciate Mrs. Schatlze and the all of the community organizations for their hard work sharing resources with our community.

This will be our final newsletter for 2017. We are so grateful for this community and the outstanding students we have at CUES. The relationships we share with them are the foundation for our positive school culture. Thank you to all of our CUES families for your continued support.

I wish you all the best over the holidays and throughout the New Year.

The Beach Bar is launching the “Food for Thought” campaign. This is a campaign to raise funds for Columbia School District’s lunch program.

They have challenged all area restaurants and businesses to take up the cause and make a donation. There has been a GoFundMe page set up, https://www.gofundme.com/c94ug-food-for-thought, which has been linked to their Facebook page. Donations can be made on this page or at the Beach Bar. Checks can be written to the individual school, please note in memo “Lunch”.

We cannot thank the Beach Bar enough for their dedication to this remarkable charitable cause!
