Finishing the Week. . .

Tonight begins the end of pep bands. We have an early game tonight, 5:30 game with a 4:30 arrival and another pep band on Friday, this one is a 7:00 game with a 6:00 arrival.

Also on Friday, there are no classes. I get to be professionally developed and I just can't wait:(

Out of Class schedule

Tuesday, Feb. 9: Pep Band--4:30 arrival; 5:00 game

Friday, Feb. 12: No School-----Pep Band-7:00 game; 6:00 arrival

Monday, Feb. 15: No School--Presidents' Day

On one day after school this week, I want to see each student sign up for a short private lesson with me on their solo and ensemble music. There are several individual parts that need attention and this way we can address it one on one instead of in front of the whole group. Times start at 3:00 pm and can go as late as needed Tuesday through Thursday.

Friday, Feb. 19: Last Pep Band--7:00 game; 6:00 arrival

Saturday, Feb. 20: Symphonic Band Day--11:00 sectional, 12:30 lunch and 1:30-3:30 full band rehearsal. This is for Brynn Jackson, Caitlin Jackson, Brett Heumann, Brian Kolodziej, Charlie Craig, Peter Gunn, Nathan Andrzejewski, Maggie Craig and Nathan Thomas Benke. These are the students who will be competing with the Symphonic Band at Large Ensemble Festival.

The week of Feb. 22-26, each ensemble will need to arrange a 1 hour or 1 1/2 hour rehearsal sometime after school. I will rearrange my schedule to meet yours. The group will need to agree on what time they will come in. This is to have uninterrupted, no distractions rehearsal. We are so close to contest we need this to make the ensembles musical.

Questions?

This is the time of year that percussion gets crazy. Keep up and email if there is confusion. Help your student remember to practice. Many are starting to lag and we have competitive performances coming up.
