Book Flix for High School
Spanish Bilingual Tool
Book Flix is not just for Elementary!
I used this resource for many years in the Elementary Setting, but just today I had a break through with an IB Senior student who is working on a project in her IB Spanish IV class. She needed picture books in Spanish because she is trying to build her fluency. Of course I logged her on to Limitless Libraries to check-out a pile of Spanish Children's Books. Then I remembered that Book Flix was available through Limitless Libraries under "Young Learners" and it had access to Bilingual Books & Videos.

From the Young Learners Screen, select BookFlix
Select any category to find a Video Book or a Non-Fiction Book
Some Categories will have more "En Espanol" book sets than others. Select a Book set and press go!
Then Select "Espanol" and it will change the selection to Spanish
When subtitles are on it will highlight text as read.
Selecting the Non-Fiction Paired Reading to the left will open a Non-Fiction Book as well
And just like the movie, select Espanol to switch to Spanish
This can be used with or without audio
Make Connections
This is a great way to help make connections with learning Spanish Fluently! It does need Flash to work.
