Guidelines for Teachers to Avoid Pitfalls in an Online Learning Environment
As educators delve into the world of remote and online learning, we must be mindful of the need to retain professional boundaries at the same time as working to maintain a high level of support for students.
Monthly Tech Stats
We've sent over 315,650 emails. That's over 7% more than we sent last month.
We've created over 67,517 Google Drive files. That's a 12% increase.
There are over 240 active Google Classroom classes currently, our highest to date, and teacher's are averaging over 247 posts per day in both schools combined.
We've conducted 2,124 Google Meets averaging 29 minutes each. That's a 234% increase in the last 30 days.
Tip of the Day
Once you've gone through the effort of creating an assignment in Google Classroom, make sure it earns its worth. Rather than using and ditching, you can reuse it.
Select the plus icon at the bottom right and choose "reuse post." Then select the assignment, announcement, or question you already setup. This is where you're then able to modify or update it before use – this could be a more time efficient way of creating a totally new quiz topic using the same shell as before.
Note that it's worth selecting the "create new copy" option so you keep the original as well so you can use that again, as it is, in the future.
Be sure to stop in for our daily Google Meet. Link is emailed around 9AM.
