Over the next month, we will be rolling out our new ORHS guidelines to success, which will be represented by the acronym F.L.I.G.H.T. While our temperatures don't really feel like it yet, it is coat collection time again!
We are pleased to announce Coats For Kids 2022 is starting.
The collection bins will be located in N118 on Ninth Grade Campus and E202 on Senior Campus. The coats will be disinfected and washed by the police department.
They will then be ready to be distributed.
Last year we received well over 1,200 coats, jackets, hoodies, and sweaters.
They distributed close to 1,000 of those same items to students and families in need.
Bring in your gentle used coats to support our community and represent the War Eagle way!
AP Exam Registration Begins in Two Weeks!
AP exam registration for full year and fall semester courses starts
October 11 and goes through November 7.
Late fees apply after November 7.
Students taking semester courses in the spring (Economics, Psychology)
will register in February.
Exams may be purchased through SchoolCash.
In addition to offering rigorous content and preparing students for future success,
students who score a 3 or higher can earn 3 hours of college credit per exam.
Most colleges grant credit for AP exams; however, please check with your child’s college
to determine if and how credit is granted.
AP classes and exam scores have a positive impact on admission decisions
with 85% of selective colleges and universities reporting
that they review scores as part of the admission process.
These credits also allow students to skip introductory courses in college
letting students move on to their majors and areas of interest earlier.
The Conroe ISD College Fair is scheduled for October 11th from 6:30pm-8:30pm
at the Lone Star Convention Center in Conroe.
There will be over 100 colleges in attendance.
There will be presentations on financial aid in both English and Spanish, as well as a presentation on the military academies.
The last water polo district game will be on Monday, October 3rd.
The girls will play at 6:00 pm and boys will play at 7:00 pm.
The boys first round of playoffs is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11th.
