Go Fourth!!!
News & Tidbits from Fourth Grade at HRRS
Monday, April 11, 2016
We're starting this week out with two tests; Language Arts Unit 9 & Math Chapter 6- Fractions. Hopefully that means we'll be diving into two new units. However, with the peeking into the math tests I did (as they were being handed in), I suspect a day or two of reteaching a few fractions concepts and a re-test may be in our future. : /
Read-A-Thon Collection
Donations for the Read-A-Thon will be collected this Wednesday. If your student has sponsors that pledged their support, please follow through & collect the money for the Read-A-Thon, so they can bring it to class on Wednesday.
HALF DAY on WEDNESDAY!
School will be dismissed early on Wednesday April 13 at 12 noon for a Professional Development day. Please have someone pick up your student at 12pm. There will be extended care offered in the afternoon as well, and lunch will be provided. This will all come at a small fee (billed to your account). If you are interested in your student attending Extended Care on Wednesday, PLEASE INFORM ME IMMEDIATELY so that the accommodations can be made.
PE This Wednesday (instead of Friday)
PE will be held on Wednesday morning this week instead of Friday due to the Daffodil Parade rehearsal for marching band. Please be sure that your student is ready for PE on Wednesday and bringing their instrument on Friday instead of the Wednesday.
Too bad it no longer feels like we live in California...I guess we're back in the Northwest with our grey and cool weather back.
Have a fabulous week!
