The Weekly Buzz
October 22 - October 26
Here are the reminders for this week!
Thought for this week- "Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning."
- It is Red Ribbon Week- use the document sent by Megan to keep in touch with our daily activities.
- Conferences will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, both 1:00 dismissal days. PTO will provide dinner for Wednesday night, and I will provide for Thursday night. Tell Barbara if we should plan on you for dinner either night.
- K-2 teachers: please remember to communicate if sending a student unplanned to a location in the building (e.g. nurse). The person in that location should then call when the students are returning.
- A revised office referral form has been placed in the "KCS Staff" drive folder. Please use this form if you are writing up a referral. We will revisit the uses of this referral at our next faculty meeting.
- An additional document placed in the "KCS Staff" folder is the "My Choices" document. This was first used in the Art classroom and has been adjusted by Ellen to fit all learning spaces. It will also be used with students who get sent to the office. Feel free to use it as you wish in your own classrooms.

Grade 3-8 teachers:
A request for survey completion with regard to the IABs. The State is working on improving these and is seeking teacher feedback. Please complete this survey if you have worked with IABs.
Please review the information about the Digital Library playlists. While we do not want to “teach to the test”, there may be resources there that are aligned with our instructional goals and also align with the State learning expectations.
