The Department of Dermatology at the Northwestern Medicine Feinberg School of Medicine will present Genodermatoses 2021| Part 2, a teaching seminar on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 8:00 AM -12:00 (CST).
Trainees need this knowledge to practice dermatology and to keep up with the rapid expansion of information related to genetic disorders involving the skin.
As such, the educational needs and objectives of the program are to allow attendees to be able to:
1. Recognize genetic disorders involving the skin, hair, and nails.
2. Understand the underlying genetic mutations that lead to these disorders and the function of affected proteins.
3. Recognize how to obtain testing for individuals with suspected genetic disorders.
4. Utilize the knowledge of genetic to help patients and families.
Target Audience: This conference is designed to cover comprehensively several aspects of genetic disorders of skin that are required knowledge. This conference will benefit physicians, residents, fellows and scientists interested in the field of dermatology, clinical genetics, and/or molecular genetics throughout the Midwest region.
