Dear WPS families of students with disabilities,
We hope that you can join us at our next Q&A session, in collaboration with Watertown's Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC), via ZOOM on Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 6:00 to 7:00. You can find the ZOOM link here.
Please know that these meetings are open to the public, and we specifically invite and encourage families of children with IEPs and 504s to attend. Questions are encouraged to be asked ahead of time by emailing the SEPAC at WPS_SEPAC@Watertown.k12.ma.us. As time allows, questions are also taken live.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child and their IEP or 504 services, please do not hesitate to reach out at the school level. Families of children with IEPs can contact their child’s special education liaison (typically their primary special education teacher) or their Evaluation Team Chair. For 504 plans, the classroom teacher and guidance counselor are the primary contacts. The building principal should be contacted if there are any issues that are not resolved after communications with the liaisons and IEP or 504 chairs. For any additional questions, concerns, or information, please contact the Student Services office and ask to speak with the Director, Kathleen Desmarais at 617 926 7766, or firstname.lastname@example.org. We are here for you!
Wishing you and your families all the best as we welcome the new year, with the promise of vaccines on the horizon.
Director of Student Services
