charityauction.bid/NAE2020 or www.auctria.com/auction/NAE2020
We have some great collaborative pieces made by our NAE kids and items including two 3-day Oregon Jamboree tickets, 4 tickets to the Portland Japanese Gardens, Enchanted Forest tickets and more!
Not every classroom had the time to finish, but all that did finish a piece will be part of the auction!
Fifth Grade Families
Thank you for sharing your children with North Albany Elementary School over the past six years, your child has gone from a budding kindergarten scholar, to a truly unique and amazing individual ready to take on any challenge that comes their way. It has been an honor to spend time watching them learn, grow, and prepare to make their mark on the world.
I would like to make sure that our 5th graders don't miss out on the special traditions that North Albany Elementary students get to experience during their 5th grade year, including their Legacy Art Project, 5th Grade Art Book, 5th Grade Promotion, 5th Grade SlideShow, and the ringing of our school bell signalling their departure from elementary school.
The Legacy Art Project instructions and materials will be coming your way very soon.
As for promotion, I 'm not sure what this will look like yet. I would like to invite you to a Google Meets virtual meeting on Monday, May 4th, to open the conversation about what parts we can keep and how we can make sure our 5th graders remember North Albany Elementary for the wonderful time they spent there.
5th Grade Parent Meeting Minutes
As we move forward, we are still unsure of what promotion could look like. We are going to wait until a later date to look at options for a promotion ceremony.
Notes from 5th Grade Promotion Virtual Meeting
- Legacy Art Project - the supplies arrived today! Info coming!
- 5th Grade Slideshow - featuring our 5th graders through the years - Megan Louber will be working on collecting pictures and putting the slide show together. Mr. Koontz and Mrs. Blaine will send out information about what pictures to send and where.
- 5th Grade Memory Book - Erin Burt/Jonelle Bissonette (if you still can, this was from the original sign up before COVID-19) Work with Megan Louber to get pictures for the memory book.
- Gifts - Amber Bending (students traditionally give their parents a gift of thanks during the 5th grade promotion. This year we decided on a letter, Amber will work with Mr. Koontz and Mrs. Blaine.)
- Art Book (This is a book of all of the artists the kids have had a chance to study and do projects based on during their time with Adventures in Art at NAE)
