Welcome Back, Wildcats!
The 2020-21 School Year Begins Next Week!
The Re-Entry Plan for LT secondary schools is available for review at the LT Schools website. As of today, the plan approved and shared previously is still in force.
Please review the IN-PERSON HYBRID MODEL for all secondary students in grades 7-12, outlined in a letter from Dr. Smith. The IN-PERSON HYBRID MODEL is the default attendance system and students will be automatically scheduled into this model.
MSDLT is still offering students and families VIRTUAL SCHOOL ACCESS for the fall 2020 semester. Please open the links and read carefully before making decisions for your child/ren. Parents are asked to make a decision regarding student school attendance (In-person or Virtual) no later than August 27, 2020.
Families who had previously selected VIRTUAL SCHOOL ACCESS and would like to CHANGE FROM VIRTUAL back to IN-PERSON HYBRID ACCESS must submit the embedded form indicating their updated decision.
The MSDLT Board of Education adopted a REVISED SCHOOL CALENDAR 2020-21 at the board meeting on Monday, July 20th. The first day of school for students has been moved from Monday, August 3, to THURSDAY, AUGUST 13th.
***REMINDER, ALL IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE in response to State, Local and medical officials. Please listen to the Sunday night phone calls from Mr. Crousore, visit the LT Schools website and secure information directly from LT sources.
First Day of School for 2020-2021
THURSDAY, AUGUST 13th is the first day of school for the 2020-2021 school year.
All students will attend their RED DAY CLASSES on Thursday, August 13th.
- IN-PERSON HYBRID STUDENTS with LAST NAMES M-Z will PHYSICALLY attend classes at Lawrence North on opening day.
- IN-PERSON HYBRID STUDENTS with LAST NAMES A-L and ALL VIRTUAL STUDENTS will attend classes ELECTRONICALLY on opening day.
- RED DAY CLASSES include blocks 5, 6, 7 and 8.
ALL STUDENTS will attend VIRTUALLY for at least 3 days of each week.
ALL STUDENTS must be present in class during the assigned time for each class--whether in-person or attending electronically. Students missing from the physical classroom or from the electronic/distance learning link will be marked absent.
Different from online classes last spring, TEACHERS will be LIVE for students attending virtually, establishing a DISTANCE LEARNING classroom with all students present in real time. (synchronous learning)
Please review and share the following calendar and schedule with your student(s) to assure s/he is on time for classes attended IN-PERSON and for those attended VIRTUALLY.
***OPENING DAY and current plans are subject to change in response to COVID-19 impacts.
Our school leaders are making adjustments daily to respond to the directives from State and Marion County leaders and those adjustments will be reflected, as necessary for the health and safety of our students, educators and staff throughout Lawrence Township.

United Way of Central Indiana hosted its Annual Celebration at the Tibbs Drive-in Movie Theatre last night, where supporters and contributors were recognized with individual and company awards in ‘movie preview’ fashion for a unique, socially distant event. The MSD of Lawrence Township, received the nonprofit’s most prestigious honor -- the Spirit United Award -- for exceptional volunteer and financial support in the community.
Spirit United is the most esteemed corporate award, celebrating companies that have consistently supported and generously donated to United Way. The MSD of Lawrence Township is honored to receive the award alongside three other distinguished Central Indiana businesses.
The MSD of Lawrence Township is the first school district to receive this award. Take 3 minutes to watch the video from United Way celebrating Spirit United...you'll feel LT PRIDE!
