The Principal's Post September 2020
Dear Parents/Guardians,
On behalf of all Bruner E.S. staff, we would like to express our thanks for helping us get our 2020-2021 school year to a great start. Although we had many internet glitches, Chromebook and Canvas issues, and many other concerns, we all made it through! Please know that without your help, flexibility and patience, it would have been impossilbe to launch our virtual learning classrooms.
Needless to say, we are all in this together! With the pandemic, the safety of your family, our students, and the Bruner staff is our priority. The Bruner of teachers and staff are doing their best to engage every one of your children in order for them to learn as much as possible. I am confident, that we will eventually all get back together and have the face-to-face instruction. When we do get that news, you will be notified as soon as possible!
Once again, thank you for always being our partners!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Chua
Principal

Important Chromebook & iPad Information
We are very happy to announce that all Bruner students have personal technology to participate in distance learning! Bruner has checked out 491 Chromebooks to students! We are excited to move forward with distance learning now that everyone has become familiar with their technology, internet ups & downs, programs, and class schedules. Please be reminded that every Chromebook is connected to an individual student and his/her CCSD school account, no matter the age or grade of the student. The Chromebooks are loaned to each student but are property of Bruner Elementary School. Student's are responsible for everything that happens to their Chromebook. They are also responsible for anything the Chromebook is used for no matter who is using it. Student's are also responsible for all activity done on his/her CCSD Google account on any computer, a school Chromebook or a personal computer. Below is a list of CCSD expectations and guidelines that are very important to know:
- Bruner's Chromebooks and iPads are loaned to students for their use during Distance Learning. They remain property of Bruner Elementary School
- Chromebooks, chargers, and iPads are returned to school in excellent working condition. When the returns to school or when he/she withdraws from Bruner E.S.
- Chromebooks are the property of each school and MAY NOT be taken to the next school. You MUST return Bruner's Chromebook and check one out at the new school.
- If a Chromebook & charger are not returned to their original school, the student's Google account will be deactivated until the Chromebook is return to the original school.
- When we return to the school building every student will need to bring their Chromebook back to school to be used in the classrooms.
- Every parent signed a CCSD Mobile Device Agreement stating that the student is fully responsible for the device and it's charger.
- The District also provided guidelines for Mobile Device Guidelines and Expectations. The student(regardless of their age) is responsible for all activity on the district Chromebook regardless if the student was the individual using the Chromebook inappropriately. If the Chromebook is used inappropriately, the student may be required to return the device immediately and/or the student's CCSD Google account may be permanently disabled.
- If a student's Chromebook, Chromebook charger, or iPad is broken, lost or stolen the District has provided repair or replacement costs. These costs are established by the school district, Bruner must follow the cost amount listed.
Please read the Chromebook information included here.
