Digital Footprint is the word used to describe the footprints people leave behind on the internet.
A Positive Digital Footprint
When you're on the internet look up positive things and try to stay off of bad sites.
Social Media
While on social media make sure you you're not abusing it. Watch everything you post because some may have bad consequences.
Be Smart
When on social media you should always go through these steps:
- Do not believe everything you hear or see on the internet.
- If you're going to take something from the internet make sure it's useful for others.
- Make sure when you're on social media that you post positive things and not negative things.
- When you see something that bothers you ask if it's necessary to leave a harsh or hateful comment.
- When you're on the internet make sure almost everything you post is kind and not rude towards people.

Ways of Maintaining a Digital Footprint
- Protect your personal information and keep all of your passwords safe.
- Think about what you're going to post before you post it. It can make you look bad.
- Look yourself up on Google .
- Limit yourself on social media because you don't want to have too many social media accounts.

How to be Safe on the Internet
- Never give your personal information to people you met on the Internet.
- Make sure to change your password on the regular.
- Tell your parents if someone is bothering/ harassing you on social network.
- Never post inappropriate things about you or other people.

- A lot of kids when they get their first electronic device will be exposed to many inappropriate sites.
- Many kids will lie about their age online.
- People tend to give their numbers or personal information to people they met online.
- Some teenagers meet up with people they met off the internet.
- One in twenty-five percent of kids will send naked pictures when they are 13+.
- Many perverts will use social network to interact with young people.
