Suicide Awareness and Prevention in the Muskego Norway School District
On Tuesday, February 4th and Thursday, February 6th all 5-8th grade students at Muskego Lakes will hear a presentation that covers the topic of suicide awareness and prevention. The purpose of this presentation is to share with students the signs and risk factors often associated with people who are contemplating suicide or have suicidal thoughts. Through this presentation, students will learn about ways to problem-solve, engage in help-seeking behaviors, and be informed of suicide prevention resources. At the end of the presentation, students will complete an exit survey that will ask them if they need to be seen by someone on our student services team, or, if they have a question following the presentation. Student services staff members will respond to the exit survey responses based on priority.
Thank you families, parents and guardians for supporting the health and wellness of our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our Student Services Team at (262) 971-6100 Ext 5004.
Sincerely,
Muskego Lakes Student Services Team
