March Meeting: What is the difference between a PTA and a PTO?

We will be discussing the pros and cons of a PTSA within the National PTA organization and an independent PTO with the focus of examining barriers to having a diverse and fully inclusive parent, teacher, student, community member organization. Come and learn more and join the discussion. Our wonderful PTSA secretary and Jefferson parent, Gabrielle Mercedes Bolivar will be facilitating the discussion.

Jefferson Senior Celebration Planning Underway

The Jefferson PTSA has been involved in planning and supporting the graduating seniors with a celebration for many years. This celebration has looked different throughout the years and will take on a form this year for sure. The Senior Celebration Committee has been meeting and planning since early November to make sure this year's celebration will be special and memorable.

The committee is co-chaired by parents, Tracey Dunlap and Lisa Howard. Lisa has brought experience as she has been involved for several years and Tracey has brought new energy to the planning. The committee has also been working closely with Jefferson seniors and school staff.

A big part of our planning has involved seeking donations for a raffle prizes and a prize wheel at the event and cash donations to help fund the event. If you know of any businesses that may be interested in donating, we would love to reach out to them.

If you are interested in participating or helping out, contact Tracey Dunlap at
