Thornhill Elementary PFC Newsletter
Volume 26, Issue 23, February 5, 2019
From the Principal
Dear Thunderbird Families,
This morning 3rd-5th graders from Thornhill and Cleveland Elementary got to listen to Emanuel Ax on piano. In a rare treat, breaking away from his concert schedule, Mr. Ax played Beethoven and other classical composers to a packed house! Both schools had all violinists present and students played for Mr. Ax with the support of conductor, Michael Morgan from the Oakland Symphony. We are so fortunate to have great musical opportunities at Thornhill. A huge shout out to Mr. Ax and the Oakland Symphony.
