Classroom Winter Book Exchange
In celebration of the Winter Break, each student in our classroom may take part in a book exchange! To celebrate the end of our semester and our friendships, each girl will bring in a wrapped book to exchange with another girl in our class. Each boy will also bring in a wrapped book to exchange with another boy in our class. We will have a mystery exchange in class! :) Please spend $10 or less.
Wrapped books should be brought to school by Thursday, December 22nd
Important News & Reminders...
1. NO Homework Packet:
This week your child does not have a formal homework packet OR a spelling quiz due on Friday. However, be on the lookout for a study guide to come home for ALL Math classes. We will be MAP testing this week, so I have chosen to give our students a brain break in the evenings so they are rested and prepared for our MAP assessments each morning. Please make sure your child has a healthy breakfast, gets a great night of sleep each evening, and is here ON TIME this week!
2. Winter Celebration:
Be on the lookout for a sign up genius about Winter Celebration coming from Mrs. Sanders. We would love for you to come join us for an exciting winter-themed day of learning & fun! There will be different time slots for parents to sign up as volunteers throughout the day for a variety of activities. Mark your calendars now.... Wednesday, December 21st
3. Elementary Awards Ceremony Date CHANGE:
Due to a few different reasons, administration has changed the date of our Elementary Awards Ceremony. This ceremony will be held on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21st from 2:40-3:30pm in the school cafeteria. If you would like to attend, please make arrangements to attend on Wednesday afternoon. This day will be a dress down day for students. They can wear an outfit of their choosing for our winter celebration AND awards ceremony.
4. Are you Going Out of Town?
If your family will be leaving early for Winter break, please let me know now. This will greatly help with planning for end of the year lessons and events. Thank you!
5. NO Clubs:
Please note that there will be no clubs on the last week of the semester (December 19-22). Please make arrangements to pick up your child accordingly! Regular aftercare will also be available this week.
6. Need more practice?
If you would like your child to be working at home, please feel free to login to Study Island for more practice. Please also make sure they have time to rest up for MAP testing!
