SIGsational News

It has begun!

Greetings to the parents, guardians, family, and friends of our SIGlets!

The magic has officially begun. As I milled around the dining hall today at meals your children bubbled over with energetic, joyful, and plentiful anecdotes when I posed the challenge: "Tell me the best class moment you had today!" This enthusiasm and unleashing of passionate curiosity is what brings us all back year after year. Rest assured that, as always, your childrens' safety and security is our top priority, and we ask that you give your students the gift of independence to fully enjoy the wonders of this program. As hard as it may be, limit your calls and texts to evening dorm times. I assure you, they are buzzing about all day with purpose and passion for all that we have provided for them here.

Can you believe classes have already begun?
Excitement, energy, and enthusiasm sum up the general thrilling theme as we kicked off our Academic and stimulating summer journey. Your child met with instructors for the first time, and the conversational buzz at the first lunch was all about what their courses were going to be like. Our students certainly experienced a fun and challenging academic environment! And they are getting their first real taste of the pace that is the SIG academic day. Returning to the dorm, they look excited and energized- and, yes, a bit tired from four hour and a half periods in the classroom! What a great way to start the summer!
