Superintendent Laura Kacer went over Polk Co. COVID positivity rates and shared a slide on nationwide spread levels of COVID. She then shared how families were informed when there was a positive COVID case within a grade level.

Now that ISASP scores are in, longitudinal data was presented. As a whole, proficiency levels are down across the district in all subject areas, giving focus to the work that needs to be done to increase proficiency in math, reading, and science.

Finally, Ms. Kacer shared the district-wide celebration of earning eight "Apple Distinguished School" awards for 2021-24. Technology director Tony Sparks shared that worldwide, just over 100 schools earned the award this year. To have eight Johnson Schools recognized is significant and speaks to our investment in technology.
