PMES Book Fair
Book Fair is coming February 9-11! Students will have an opportunity to preview the fair earlier in the week to decide what they might like to buy, and then they will shop in the Media Center with their classmates on these days. While parents and families cannot shop during the school day in person, we encourage you to set up an eWallet for your child, and there will be a sign up-only family shopping opportunity after school on Thursday, February 10. For more information about eWallet and the shopping sign up link when it becomes available, check out our PMES Book Fair website. If you choose to shop online, you can support our school by shopping through the link on our site as early as February 3!
Updated PMES COVID Protocols
Based on the increase of COVID cases with the Omicron variant, I want to make you all aware of the protocols that are in place at Puckett’s Mill:
Masks will still be required of all students while they are in the building. Students will be able to remove masks while eating, drinking, participating in exercise, and at recess.
Visitors will not be allowed in the building. This includes lunch visitors and classroom volunteers.
Students seeking breakfast will “grab and go” and eat in their classroom.
Our lunch schedule will be altered to allow students to eat in the cafeteria every other day. When in the cafeteria, students will sit on one side of the table. On days when students are not eating in the cafeteria, they will take their lunch to their classroom to eat.
Students will be provided multiple opportunities throughout the day to wash and sanitize their hands.
Our custodial staff along with our teachers will frequently utilize the sanitation products provided by GCPS in classrooms and throughout the school.

Important Reminders
Transportation Changes If at any time you need to change your student's afternoon transportation, all requests must be submitted in writing using the Transportation Change Request form found on the main page of the school's website BEFORE 10:00 a.m. Faxes and emails will not be accepted. Please communicate changes, even last-minute changes, to the registrar and not the classroom teacher. The completed form should be sent to school with your student and turned in to their teacher when they arrive at school. Thank you for your help to ensure the safety of our students. | Free/Reduced Lunch FormA new free/reduced form must be filed each school year. If you were on this program last year and plan to continue this year or if your situation has changed due to recent events, you will need to fill out an application. The online application is now available. You will only need to fill out one application for all your children - even if they attend different schools in the GCPS system. You can access the application here. You can click here to check the status of your application. | Birthday TreatsParents are welcome to send in with their student or DROP off STORE BOUGHT, individually, pre- wrapped treats for birthdays celebrations. |
