Hello Mustang Families-
This week at Myakka City Elementary, we continue to educate your children on the importance of staying safe. To learn more please visit: MBF Child Safety Matters™ Prevention Education Program.
Family Chatter:
· Contact Information: Basic contact details are important for your child to know and memorize. They can share this information with police or any authorized official in case of an emergency. Help keep your children safe by reviewing their full name, address, phone number, and parent/guardian’s full name often.
· Family Password: Creating a family password is a great security measure you can take to keep your children safe. Teach your child that the password is required from anyone who says they are here because mom or dad sent them. To learn more visit Code Words.
· Take a few moments this week to have your students demonstrate the movements for each of the five safety rules.
Visit Safety at Home for additional ideas and support.
Have a great week,
Mrs. Veldkamp
