Lights! Camera! Action! "The Red Carpet" Weekly Spotlight
Coming down the red carpet this week is our exceptionally talented Art Teacher, Mrs. Verseckes! She had a vision this summer to engage our staff in an art project to help us discover our purpose for educating students! She pre-planned the activity, provided all of the resources, and as a result, the end product turned out exceptionally well. Thank you so much for sharing your artistic talents with our Guzick Family and modeling instructional excellence with an awesome "outside of the box" activity.
Please join me in thanking Mrs. Verseckes for engaging us in one of the best professional development activities I've ever been a part of! The Spotlight this week is on her!
1st Day of School Arrival Procedures
- All teachers and staff will need to be in their designated pick-up or morning duty location by 7:15am to ensure a smooth first day of school. (PK - 1st grade - Gym; 2nd - 3rd - Cafeteria; 4th - 5th grade - Auditorium).
- We will dismiss from each location beginning at 7:35am. Please wait to hear the announcements before moving.
Attendance Reporting
PBIS Daily Lessons
It is extremely important that we speak the same language and be consistent with our behavioral expectations for ALL of our Guzick Giants. The Day 1 PBIS lessons should be taught throughout the first day.
Morning Meetings
I am so excited to witness the change in student culture at Guzick because of the implementation of Morning Meetings! Please include morning meeting in your schedule tomorrow at the most appropriate time for your class. We will begin the regular scheduled time for morning meetings on Tuesday.
Pre-K: same time as last year
Kinder - 2nd: 8:15am
3rd: 7:45am
4th: 8:15am
5th: 7:45am
Dismissal Procedures
PK-1st Grade Teachers, all students must have a a dismissal identification tag. If you need additional tags, and/or if you need daycare tags, please come to the front office during your planning to retrieve the additional tags.
Important Reminder: if a student's parent has not confirmed in writing or verbally that their child is a bus rider/daycare rider, they are to be kept here at the school until a parent/guardian picks them up.
Don't forget, to send home the "How Do I Get Home Form" and return a copy of the completed forms to the front office.
