Viking News - The Week of 1/2/2023

Happy Holiday Vacation & New Year! 🎉🥳
I hope you all enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday vacation doing the things you love most. Reflecting back on the year so far, I am continually grateful for the opportunity to work with such amazing students, families and staff. Given the unexpected weather day on Friday (12/23), we were not able to do the scheduled student/staff karaoke event. No fear! We will look to reschedule after the vacation to be sure we have the opportunity to showcase our talents and have some fun. In the meantime, enjoy a safe and healthy vacation. I look forward to catching up with the RHS students and staff upon our return to school on Tuesday, January 3rd.
Here's to a great week ahead 😎

New Year, New You! Using 'YES Theory' to Promote Positive Change
Kudos and appreciation to RHS Senior, Nate Cook, for sharing a little bit about the You Tube movement, 'Yes Theory' at the Weekly Assembly before the vacation. Nate presented about how small actions can lead to BIG change! This month we will continue to encourage students and staff to embrace the discomfort and try things that you never thought possible. Say 'YES' when asked to take on a new adventure, sit with a different person, or try something new. You never know how one moment can help shape and change your life for the better!
RHS Mid-Term Exam Information - January 17th-January 20th, 2023
Please click the link below for a copy of the detailed exam schedule. Note that it is important for students and families to plan accordingly for the shortened exam days. Students are only expected to come in for their scheduled exams and are free to leave after they complete their obligations. Buses run per usual to accommodate the middle school schedule. If your high school student wishes to take the normally scheduled bus, he or she may use the library to read or to prepare for upcoming exams.
*In the event of an official district snow day, the exam schedule will be pushed forward; meaning, the exams scheduled for that day/s will take place the day we return to school and any remaining exams will take place on subsequent days.
