Past Bond Issues Built Today’s Traditions - Prop R Continues our Traditions

Thanks to Your Community of 1993 - We Enjoy the Keating Theater Today

In 1993, the community approved Prop 1 which provided the Keating Theater on the campus of KHS. The Keating Theater is home to award winning plays, musicals, and performances by our students. An entire generation later after the bond was passed, KHS parents and close friends were able to safely cheer on the athletes in the theater as they were unable to attend the state swim meet in person due to the pandemic.

Stay engaged and vote April 6. Kirkwoodschools.org/PropR.

Zoom Updates

In response to recent updates as Zoom continues to improve security and privacy, KSD will shift to a default setting for all Zoom meetings scheduled by staff of “Only Authenticated Users can join meetings.” In KSD, Authenticated Users are defined as those 1) signing in with their Kirkwood (Google) account and 2) doing so on KSD managed devices.

With these parameters in place:

  • users accounts outside of the KSD organization will be unable to join Zoom meetings;

  • KSD staff or students on personal devices will be unable to join KSD Zoom Meetings with this setting in place.

  • KSD staff retains the ability to deselect this option when necessary to allow users into KSD Zoom meetings that are outside of the organization (e.g., guest speakers, partner schools,etc.)

This change will take effect for all users this week.
