February Student Spotlights
Congratulations to Dino Arellano at LEHS!
"Dino Arellano, a freshman in the LEHS choir program, exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding Fine Arts Student. He took the initiative to lead a madrigal ensemble for UIL Solo & Ensemble contest, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills by planning rehearsals and even teaching parts. Dino's leadership was marked by grace and effectiveness.
Following the ensemble's performance, Dino showcased his commitment to continuous improvement by reviewing the performance and setting new goals for the next one. In the fall, Dino was selected to perform in the Region 24 Honor Choir. Dino will continue to showcase his music excellence at Carnegie Hall in April where he and fellow choristers will premiere a Mass written by composer Ola Gjiello.
Beyond his musical talents, Dino stands out as a humble and kind individual, contributing positively to the overall atmosphere of the choir program. His limitless potential suggests a promising future in the fine arts, making him a highly deserving candidate for the Little Elm ISD Fine Arts Student of the Month."
Congratulations to Sabrina and Nicole Sanchez at Strike Middle School!
"I am actually nominating a two for one deal. I would like to nominate a pair of sisters, Sabrina and Nicole Sanchez. They both are exceptional choir students and individuals of remarkable talent, dedication, and character.I have had the pleasure of teaching both of them for three years. Throughout this time, they have consistently demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to musical excellence, an insatiable thirst for learning, and a natural gift for vocal performance. Sabrina and Nicole possess an exceptional work ethic that is evident in their relentless pursuit of musical mastery as well as school and day to day life. They consistently strive for perfection while maintaining a remarkable level of humility and respect for peers and instructors. Beyond their musical abilities here on campus, Nicole and Sabrina exhibit many more talents as well. They are members of the Dallas Symphony Childrens’ Chorus, they are in the leadership program in the Strike Choir (including one of them being president over the entire program), they are members of NJHS, they are in honors, Pre AP, and high school courses with good grades in all of them, they volunteer with their church choir, and they were moved up to the seventh and eighth grade choir when they were sixth graders. I can always count on them to run a sectional, warm ups, or sight reading when it is needed and I have confidence that they are always going to be able to handle anything I throw at them. These girls exhibit traits of integrity, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility that make them not only outstanding performers but also a role model among peers. They are going to do big things in this world and truly deserve the spotlight."
