Dear Parents,
Wow! What a busy time of year for our school and our students, the Fun Run activities are in full swing. We will have another collection day on Tuesday and prizes will be passed out during our lunchtime throughout the week. Our Fun Run volunteers are doing such a great job of motivating the school and our students to live a healthy lifestyle and make healthy food choices. The first Lunch and Learn was awesome! Thanks to all of the volunteers who make these activities possible.
Our special area schedule has changed for the 4th nine weeks as follows:
Monday - Art, Tuesday -Music, Wednesday -PE, Thursday - Computer Lab, Friday -Media/ Guidance
Please remember to wear sneakers on Wednesdays for PE!
What we are learning this week
Math:
Geometry: G.2: Classify quadrilaterals based on the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines.
Properties of light: Brightness, colors and visibility
Social Studies:
The New Government: 4-4.3 Bill of Rights
Language Arts:
Spelling tests will be given on Fridays!
Spelling Homework: All homework is to be done in the Word Study Folder
Mon. sort words and write the sort in folder.
Tues. Ladder words
Wed. sort words and write two times each
Thurs. Practice test
Reading: Guided Reading Groups, Shared reading: How to Steal a Dog, Reading a text and using text evidence to answer questions. Independent reading and response.
Writing: Writing text dependent responses.
