Where Everyone Can Succeed
Another amazing fortnight at Glendore:
- We loved having the community back on site to enjoy the Glendore colour run. It was fantastic listening to the students happy voices and to see the students smiles on their faces as they were covered in coloured dust and water from the fire engine. I’m not sure who had the most fun the students or the staff.
- Thank you to our wonderful Glendore community who have supported us through sponsorship of the colour run. We raised over $7000 for playground and wellbeing resources.
- We are extremely lucky to be getting a Department Wifi upgrade which will improve the internet in all rooms through rewiring, new servers and new WAPS. It will take the tradesmen four weeks to complete this work which will improve the internet for all students especially Year 3-6 with their BYOD devices.
- Please check your emails for School Byte notes including Party Day. Please only sign the consent form when you pay.
- I love to read all the positive emails that are sent to the school and teachers, praising them for the outstanding job they are doing both in and outside the classroom. I create a special award for these teachers with your beautiful comments on them. Please keep the emails coming they really make the staff smile.
- I have started to read the Semester 2 Reports and I am once again amazed how wonderful all the students at Glendore are. Thank you to the teachers who have spent hours and hours writing these reports and knowing their students so well.
- Ap’s and Principals “Above and Beyond letters” are being sent home to acknowledge students who are going above and beyond at school. The AP’s and myself present these letters to individual students. Congratulations to the students who have received these very special letters.
Attendance
Thank you to our Parents/Caregivers for your increased communication regarding your child/ren's absences. Parents/Caregvers are notified daily via Sentral Parent Portal notification and direct email if their child/ren is absent from school. Parents/Caregivers can add future leave requests and self-manage their child/ren's leave by using the 'Attendance' module in the Sentral Parent Portal.
