Hampton Tech Times!
Technology Happenings Around Hampton High - November 2018
Greetings!
As I walk around the halls of Hampton High, I am so impressed by all of the great things that I see going on in the classrooms! I see teachers collaborating, students using technology, and purposeful lessons being taught. I am thoroughly enjoying my time with you all!
Tech Talk Tuesdays!
Be sure to join us each Tuesday at 3:20 in room 334 for Tech Talk Tuesday. This is where we can come together to discuss all things technology. The goal is to have a different teacher briefly share a tech tool. Then, we will have collaboration and discussion. Seema Dhody will be sharing during our first meeting on 12/3. I also heard that there might be some incentive for attending....maybe a jean pass...or a some other treat. You never know :)
Speaking of innovations....
I recently asked a few teachers about their favorite innovations of the past 10 to 20 years. What are your favorite innovations? Check out the video below!
Sign up for a time...
Don't forget to sign up for a time for me to come to your classroom to demo Chrome Extensions to your students. Let's help them work smarter...not harder! You can also sign up here if you would like for me to come and help out with other tasks. Just let me know what the task is in the comment section of the sign up. See you soon!
Students at work!
Some of the science students will be working on creating brochures to demonstrate learning. I shared this guide with their teacher (Rutland-Newton) to give them some voice and choice in determining which tool to use. Feel free to share with your students. Personalized learning!
