Jessica Mackenzie
Primary Education Student
About Me
My name is Jessica Mackenzie, and I am currently in my second year at university but first year studying Primary Education specialising in teaching children with special needs. I am studying at the University of Notre Dame Australia at the Fremantle campus.
Education
Before coming to Notre Dame, I worked for twelve months and travelled around South East Asia and surrounding countries. I attended Newton Primary School from pre-primary to year seven and obtained a music scholarship to Hamilton Senior High School from year eight until graduating in 2010. In 2012 I completed the foundation year – education in order to gain entrance to the primary education course.
Interests
I currently play netball three times a week for Winthrop Netball Club and I also umpire 2-3 games on Saturdays. I have a very strong passion for music and volunteer my time regularly helping organise events. I also currently work at Coogee Primary School as an Education Assistant.
My career goal is to be a qualified primary school teacher teaching children with special needs and to help provide quality education to all children.
