LES Weekly Spotlight
Week of 9/28/20 - 10/2/20
Are any of the following statements true about LES...
- Students are more likely to fail a class depending on the teacher they are assigned
- Some teachers allow students to retake tests, others do not
- Teachers have different standards and deadlines for acceptable work
- Teachers request specific teachers for their own children
If so, then we have an educational lottery. The Guiding Coalition members are participating in the RTI @ Works Coaching Academy. The purpose of this work is to create systemic processes and practices in our school to eliminate the type of behaviors described above. If we mean it when we say that ALL students will learn at high levels then we must have a systematic process to give every child extra time and support. Until then, it is really just a matter of chance.
