More on this great cause

The Parker Elementary Band continuously wins top honors in state and regional competitons. Their upcoming performance in New Orleans will be judged by a panel and with oral, written, and taped feedback on their performance. The children will also attend music workshops and perform at Preservation Hall, a historic landmark that is dedicated to the preservation of New Orleans Jazz. They will learn from older musicians (who are in their 70’s and 80’s) about this unique and purely American music genre.
