Face-to-Face Instruction is Just Around the Corner!
Please keep in mind that we are unable to change instructional settings at this time. Information regarding the process for changing your child's instructional setting at the end of the 9 weeks will go out as we get closer to the end of the grading period.
How Will My Child Know Where To Go On The First Day?
To better prepare your child, we have created a Bitmoji Classroom Map for you and your child to look at prior to September 9th. The map will indicate the three arrival locations (Civic Drive, Travis Drive, and front drive), the one direction hallway path, and teachers' Bitmojis located in the classroom. Teachers' Bitmojis will be displayed by their classroom door so students know where to go. I have included an example below the map.
Our hope is that this map will help students familiarize themselves with their arrival location, and the path they need to take to locate their classroom which will make for a smooth first day back on campus.
Please see the map below.
Face Mask Video for Kids
As a reminder, all students in kindergarten through third grade will be required to wear masks while on campus. Students will be able to take masks off when eating and drinking, and while outside for recess. When possible, teachers will provide face mask and brain breaks throughout the day for students.
Pre-kindergarten students will be required to wear face masks when entering and exiting the building, when transition outside of the classroom, while engaged in classroom activities when physical distancing is not able to be maintained, and while riding the school bus. Once pre-kindergarten students are in the classroom, they may remove their masks.
