NOTE FROM MRS. LOGAN
This time of the year is no doubt "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year". The spirit that surrounds the holiday season is irreplaceable. Holiday music and decorations can make even dreadful events, like grocery shopping, festive and fun!
For many children this time of the year can become consumed with the idea of "GETTING". Making a wish list filled with wants is a holiday tradition for many. These next three weeks at Holling we will spend time helping students recognize the joy and happiness of "GIVING" this holiday season. We will focus our assemblies on different ways to give.
This week the focus is on giving to others in need. The sock drive that Holling held this week for Project Wee Care was a great way for students to see the power if giving to others in need. This giving does not always have to be correlated to "stuff." Students can give hugs to those that are sad or give friendship to those who are lonely. How can we as parents model and guide our children to see the power of giving to those in need? Help us to make this a season of GIVING for our students.
