Change is in the air!!

Message from J. Desto

WOWZERS! April?? Already!! While I wish we could slow the school year down, I am extremely excited that we are finally moving in the right direction with full in-person learning starting Monday, April 5th and with nice weather on the horizon. The full remote learning platform will continue for the remainder of the school year.

I want to share that the transition into the half day sessions, with students sitting no less than 3 feet apart, has been truly amazing! I am extremely confident that the transition into full day will be no different. However, be prepared! I bet your little one is going to be exhausted for the first week or two! Fortunately, there will be no more on-line learning and once home, these kids can just be kids.

As a reminder, communication between home and school is extremely important. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher. They will, in turn, do the same.

As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions and/or concerns at or (508)943-4312.

Things to know about April 5th changes:

UPDATED SCHOOL HOURS, starting April 5th:

Kindergarten & Grade 1 Students:

Doors open at 8:30 AM

School starts at 8:50 AM

Dismissal will start at 3:00 PM

AM Sessions: 9:10 AM - 11:40 AM

PM Sessions: 12:40 PM - 3:10 PM

Pick Up/Drop Off: Parent pick up and drop off is located behind the school. It is important to maintain a line along the perimeter of the parking lot. Make sure that your child(ren) unloads from the vehicle out of the rear passengers side door (closest to the building). Please..DO NOT PASS cars in the line. This is so important to maintain the safety of all the children and drivers.

Lunches will continue to be provided at no charge to any family. There will only be a hot lunch option. Unfortunatly we will not be offering an alternate lunch option. If your child brings their lunch but wants a milk, no problem! Students with food allergies will receive a lunch accordingly. Here is the link to the monthly lunch menu: April, 2021 Lunch Menu

Students will be provided with a “grab and go” breakfast each afternoon at dismissal. This meal is intended to serve as breakfast for the following morning.

Preschool students will continue to receive a lunch each class session. These will be provided at parent pick-up.

I am sure you are wondering what lunches will look like? Well, this part makes me a little sad but we are so extremely excited to have the students back all day, every day! Students in K-1 will eat their lunch in the cafeteria at a desk. Desks are spaced out at a minimum of 6 feet apart.

Pictures/Picture Re-Takes are coming! If your child(ren) was not able to attend any of our scheduled pictures days, have no fear! We have scheduled a “re-take” day ~ April 28th. For our fully remote families wishing to attend re-takes, please contact Mrs. Harris in the main office to make arrangements.

Buses: Please be sure to have your child out for the bus 5-10 minutes earlier as routes have changed and could potentially change again with the increase of students returning to full in-person. Adults should be out waiting for the bus 5-10 minutes earlier in the afternoon as well.
