Creative Challenges Teacher Cohort
New Class Coming to GWAEA
Makerspace? STEM? Design Thinking?
All of these topics relate and have strong ties to tapping into encouraging students to creatively problem solve. It can be a big task to try to design and learn how to structure open-ended creativity challenges for your students, so let's work smarter together on this task.
It's designed to be an ongoing cohort group to support teachers who want to implement creativity challenges in their classroom or school environment. Each month, we'll explore a different topic, get comfortable with the basics and collaboratively design projects that you can take back to try out. During each of these sessions, we will look through the lenses of makerspace, STEM, and design thinking in how we could design learning opportunities for our students. After our face-to-face meeting, we'll continue the conversation and learning through an online Canvas course.

Who is this Cohort for?
It's for any teacher or librarian who has a group of students that they work with on a regular basis. Part of the support with this Cohort will be trying out & sharing how the challenges you collaboratively created with the group worked with your students. We can all learn from each other's experiences and support each other during the process.
