Message From Dr. Otway
Dear College Park Families
As we bid farewell to the swiftly passing month of January, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the remarkable events and achievements that made it a truly special time for our school community.
Throughout this month, our focus has been on both academic achievement and fostering a sense of joy and camaraderie. The unexpected icy days led to school closures, presenting challenges that we navigated together as a resilient community. Despite the disruptions, we found moments of warmth and inspiration.
One highlight was the visit from Black Ranger Jack Guzman, who encouraged our students to Dream Big. His motivational words left a lasting impact, reminding our young learners to reach for the stars and believe in their limitless potential.
Assessment Night brought an exciting twist with the House of Altruismo emerging victorious in the Jeopardy Game. The friendly competition not only showcased our students' knowledge but also emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration.
Our Small Bites cooking classes provided a hands-on and delectable experience for our students, exploring the world of culinary arts. It was heartening to see the enthusiasm and creativity they brought to the kitchen.
Finally, the month concluded with the Sky Hawks taking over during specials. The engagement and support from the community were truly heartwarming, and it made a significant impact on our students' overall experience.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all parents for your active engagement and enthusiastic participation in our school events. Your support is instrumental in creating a vibrant and thriving school community.
As a reminder, don't forget to join us in celebrating school spirit every Friday by wearing your house colors. It's a simple yet powerful way to foster a sense of unity and pride among our students.
Looking forward to the months ahead, let's continue to work together to create an enriching and positive learning environment for our children.
Thank you for being an essential part of our school community.
Warm regards,
Dr. Maisha N. Otway
Principal, College Park Elementary School

The College Skyhawks basketball team soared into College Park Elementary with enthusiasm, bringing their passion for basketball & fitness to the PE class. Engaging the students in a dynamic session, they not only imparted valuable skills in shooting and dribbling the basketball but also emphasized the significance of being discipline in all aspects of life. The players served as inspiring role models, creating a memorable experience that extended beyond the court, leaving a positive impact on our scholars.
