Principal's Message
Dear Cougar Community,
It has been fun this week to pop into some Zoom calls to see students learning with their teachers. Seeing smiling faces is always the highlight of any day. Distribution day for PreK was a success with many coming to pick-up their learning boxes.
Please make sure to turn off your device each day and restart it. Updates are being pushed out daily from vendors. It is important for your child's chrome book to work properly that it is up to date.
Monday is asynchronous except for the morning meeting. Meetings will start at 8:00.
If you have pictures of your child that you would like included in future newsletters please send them to ann.gwynn@mpark.net. It is always great to see our students learning!
Everyday gets a little smoother as we all adjust to new schedules and navigation of Canvas. I appreciate everyone's patience!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Gwynn

We are Making Some Changes with School Meal Distribution!
Now you can pick up 5 lunches and 5 breakfasts at a time for your child(ren).
This drive-thru style pick-up will be held at BOTH Cougar and the Middle School every Monday.
On Mondays from 8:30 – 11 am, you can drive up to Cougar Elementary via Cougar Court OR you can opt to drive up to the side entrance of Manassas Park Middle School from 3:30 – 6 pm. Meals are limited to one set of meals per child, per week.
Please note, the bus distribution sites that were utilized for the past two weeks WILL NO LONGER be used. Meals must be picked up on Mondays only. There are not enough personnel to staff all locations.
Proof of enrollment, or bringing a child(ren) to pick up, is required for parents to pick up meals. Proof of enrollment can include a student ID card, report card, or any other school communication containing the students name(s). If you need assistance with providing proof, the food services department can make an ID badge which you can use for future visits.
If your children are not school aged, our food services team will work with you to provide a proof should you wish to pick up without children in the future. Please talk to them during the pick-up time slots noted above.
We hope that replicating our Summer Feeding Program and adding an additional pick up location and window will permit more families to take advantage of this FREE service.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to serve as many people in our community as possible.
