I hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
If you were unable to come, our class "handbook" is now uploaded on our website. I will be sending home a paper copy with students next week as well. Please email me if you have questions after you have read through it.

Next Week:
Writing: Students will begin g oing through the "Writing Process" with their first writing idea. We will be discussing how writers change and make alterations in their writing.
Reading: We will begin practicing what it should look like to write a response about our reading. I will send some examples through email so you can see what is expected from their reading homework in October.
Social Studies: Next week we will immerse ourselves into the year 1776. Fife music and all. The students will be able to describe the importance of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution by next week. i LOVE this unit.

October 2nd: Grandparent's Day (11 am)
October 8th: 3rd Grade Art Auction and Music Performance
