Weekly Update- May 6th, 2022

CAASPP (State Testing) Upcoming

Over the next few weeks, all our 3rd through 8th-grade students will be participating in CAASPP testing. While we are an online school, we will complete this testing in person. The teachers have sent out schedules and we look forward to seeing all our students on campus. If you have any questions about when your student will test, please don't hesitate to contact the office.

Also, we have Physical Fitness testing for all 5th, 7th, and 9th-grade students. We are planning on scheduling this around the state testing as well. More information will follow.

Sex Education-7th-9th Grade Families

The 7th-9th grade science teacher will begin teaching sex education over the next two weeks.

We would like to provide parents with the link to the parent resources for the curriculum: Positive Prevention Plus. This is the district-approved curriculum for sex education.

The teacher is planning to teach the same information at the same time for all grade levels. The unit is 3 weeks and students will be back to "regular" science after they've completed the curriculum.

Students will need to pick up a workbook for the sex education curriculum at the Elevated office.

We post on social media multiple times a week (sometimes even per day). If you want to see what your student is doing when they're on campus, please follow us on social media!
