Table Talk - Terry Fox Day (Sep. 22nd)
We'll be having our annual Terry Fox run and "Twoonies for Terry" collection for the Terry Fox Foundation.
Students are welcome to bring in cash donations; in the meantime we're hard at work trying to get an electronic option available through the ParentPortal for online donations.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you can lend a hand. Thank you.
Dot Day Celebration
Our Dot Day collaboration is coming along beautifully and, supported our continued learning about belonging, community, and identity.
Next week's school mentor text is: "I Am Me."
Healthy Hunger ("FUN LUNCH Thursdays")
The next Hot Lunch is September 21st! (As usual, orders must be placed by the previous Saturday.)
Hot lunch will offered each Thursday of the week, throughout the school year.
Parents please log onto the Healthy Hunger website (www.healthyhunger.ca), where you may view the available options for your child(ren). Here you are able to select the date, class room and food/drink choices you want for your child. Payment is made online at this time.
Did you know that money raised from this program is given back to the school, helping to enrich our kiddo’s school experience? Last year, this program raised $8241.50 for the school, which helped fund the new student-use Chromebooks.
If you have any questions or comments, or would like to volunteer, please email Kasia at email@example.com. Fun Lunch is driven by volunteers from the Kinosayo Parent Association.
Road Safety in School Zones
The St. Albert Department of Municipal Enforcement has requested we share this reminder list of school parking information.
They also asked us to caution parents about the dangers of jay-walking in front of the school (rather than walking to the crosswalks and crossing there); this is a dangerous activity, especially as the roads will be getting slippery soon.
