About Me:

My teaching career began 18 years ago and developed out of a passion for lifelong learning and movement arts. Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated with the exploration of the human body. This journey began with dance and theatre and made its way into yoga in 1991.

Trained in various movement systems including classical and traditional dance, theatre, and martial arts, I began practicing yoga at the Jiva Mukti Yoga School while attending The New School University in New York. I received my first teacher training certificate from Master Yoga Academy in LA Jolla, CA in 1995 and have received further education with several notable instructors. My teaching has been featured in Shambhala Sun and Yoga International magazines; I was a demonstration model for Topics Entertainment in HD Yoga Blu-Ray DVD; and a yoga spotter for Yoga Teacher Central online.

Core strength, dynamic movement, alignment, and humor are at the foundation of my teaching. My classes are lively and full of fun. Participants can expect to receive ample personal attention, careful guidance, articulate instruction, and see results!
