I hear we will have a surprise lockdown drill soon. No announcement will be made; we will go into a lockdown immediately. Thank you for following our safety procedures.
As a reminder, all staff members and guests should have on a badge. This included ALL high school students who come and help (readers, PALS, etc.). If you see someone without a badge, then you should escort him/her to the office (regardless of age).

National School Counseling Week
National School Counseling Week 2020 is Feb. 3–7. The week, sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), highlights the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems and the tremendous impact they can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. If you want to promote your counselors on social media, this year’s hashtag is #NSCW2020. Please remember to also use #MISDProud in your posts.
GT PD For Teachers

We will have our second GT PD session in February for teachers who need their six hour update. Remember, the hour earned at this session may count towards this year OR next. This a great way for teachers to earn hours so that it is not all at once in the summer. Please share with your staff.

Midlothian's Got Talent!
It is time for the 10th Annual Midlothian's Got Talent. I know that the ones who entered last year had lots of fun and won prizes (giftcards, not trophies). We love the support that you have given us in the past. We would love to grow our staff catagory in MGT. There is no fee for entry this year whether for Performance, Art, Photography, or Video. We are hoping to make this a big production for our 10th year. I have been involved in the school district long enough to have seen many performances from many of the staff (mostly in videos). I know you are not shy! ;)
Please fill out the form below for registration. If you have any questions, please let me know.
If we get enough registrations, we will give out an award for "Most Talented School" to the school with the most participation!
