Some exciting results have been happening for student performance this year. One of the measurements that we are assessed on is getting students prepared for college. The measurement that Fowler School District uses is the Accuplacer test. This test is necessary to qualify to take courses in college. The test assesses three areas, reading, writing, and math. Prior to beginning the redesign process three years ago our data indicated that less than 5% of our high school was either college qualified or college completed for math and language arts. This year's data for non-foreign exchange students and non-special education students are as follows:
Reading - 77%
Writing - 68%
Math - 46%
We are very excited about the data indicators that our students are accomplishing. We hope to continue the upward trend in having all of our students prepared for their future, be it college, technical education or the workforce.
