e-Learning Days
This year, Holy Name Catholic School will implement eLearning days, if needed. ELearning is learning utilizing electronic technologies to access educational curriculum outside of the traditional classroom. Our eLearning days will be implemented in the event of a school closing due to inclement weather, or a last minute emergency. Trunk-n-Treat

Here's how this fun evening works:
For good weather: Park in the HN main lot with your car/trunk decorated. Please visit the registration table to get a number for your car. Kids in costume will visit each trunk for candy and to vote on their favorite decorated car/trunk. The winner will be announced at the end of the evening and recieve the official HN Trunk-n-Treat Wreath to keep until next year!
For inclement weather: Meet in the HN cafeteria to decorate a table. Please visit the registration table to get a number for your table. Kids in costume will visit each table for candy and to vote on their favorite decorated table. The winner will be announced at the end of the evening and recieve the official HN Trunk-n-Treat Wreath to keep until next year!
We are excited to announce that we will have a Haunted Hallway this year to add to the fun of Trunk-n-Treat!!!! The Haunted Hallway will run from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Lights on will be from 6:30 p.m.-7:15 p.m for our younger students and lights off will be from 7:15 p.m.-8:00 p.m. for our older students.

Grand Adult Day
Our Grand Adult celebration is right around the corner and we’re excited to have many visitors joining us on Tuesday, November 12th from 7:50-10:30! Please print and complete the Grand Adult Day RSVP and return it to the school office. If you need a printed copy, please let your child’s homeroom teacher know. Additional information will follow soon! We look forward to seeing our Grand Adults!

National Catholic Youth Conference
Every other year, 20,000+ Catholic young people and their chaperones come together to pray, learn, and grow in their faith at the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Indianapolis. This year’s conference will be held November 21-23 at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. As the host diocese, we need 1000 volunteers throughout the three days to serve in a variety of roles. A complete list of volunteer needs including descriptions, requirements, shifts and times can be found at: www.NCYC.info/volunteer.

STARS Resource Program
When: Tuesday, October, 22, 2019 7:00 pm
Where: Roncalli High School Media Center
What: Learn the process for students to receive accommodations on Roncalli’s high school placement test and hear details about the STARS resource Program.

Roncalli High School Placement Test
Roncalli is excited to host the Class of 2024 for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) on Saturday, November 9th. Additional details are below:
- Test begins at 8:00 AM; students should arrive by 7:45 and enter through Door #5 (Auditorium).
- There is no pre-registration for this test.
- There is a $10 fee to cover the cost of the test; the student should bring this with them to the test (Cash or check payable to Roncalli High School).
- Calculators are not allowed (Unless stated on an IEP/ISP).
- Student should bring two #2 pencils.
- Results will be mailed home by the end of November.
REBEL JUNIORS VOLLEYBALL CLUB
Rebel Juniors is a volleyball club for youth girls started by Roncalli coaches for perspective Roncalli volleyball athletes.

● Practices will be 2-3 times a week. Times and location will vary based on gym availability.
● Teams will play all day tournaments (either on Saturday and/or Sunday) 1-2 times per month starting in January. The season will end Mid-March.

Registration for elementary and middle school club wrestling is now open and you can sign-up at any time throughout the year. You can sign up during preseason practices on Tuesday and Thursday 4:15 - 5:30 PM and Sunday 7:00 - 8:00 PM at the Roncalli High School Wrestling Room. The youth wrestling season will start November 5, with practices on Tuesday and Thursday (Beginners 6:00 - 6:45 PM, Advanced 6:45 - 8:00 PM), and we will have a full competition schedule. Club and CYO wrestling schedules are coordinated together and compliment each other so our athletes can participate in both programs. Volunteers for Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon
We will need 8 volunteers Tuesday, Nov. 26th to come and help serve and clean up. I will need them to stagger the time they arrive to help as follows:
2 for setting tables, decorating etc @ 10:00
4 additional people to serve on the buffet line with the 2 early people @ 11:00
2 additional people to give out milks and serve desserts @ 11:15
