Triple E Framework
Check out the Triple E Framework! It measures how well educational technology tools are helping students engage in, enhance, and extend learning goals. How is edtech benefitting your students?
Follow the Digital Trail
It is important that we teach our students about the long lasting effects of our digital footprints. Here is an animated video by Common Sense Education that explains digital footprints in kid-friendly language.
Google PD
Over the summer, I took the Google Certified Educator exams. This is a great professional development opportunity to help you grow and apply your Google skills. As a District 64 employee, you can get Professional Growth credit for pre-approved activities! To get started, head over to the Google for Education Training Center. Click here for some helpful tips!
littleBits
littleBits are sets of easy-to-use, electronic building blocks for creating an endless amount of inventions, including noise makers, personal fans, light meters, and so much more. The bits are magnetic and are a great, hands-on way to demonstrate how circuits work. We have multiple sets of "bits" housed in the LRC, which means hundreds of thousands of circuit combinations and invention possibilities. Check out the video below to see how they work and some of the innovative projects that can be made with littleBits. I would love to see what our Washington students come up with!
