Message from the Principal, Ivory-Brown
Greetings Harper Park Hurricanes!
I hope this weekend has been restful and rejuvenating for you. This week, we will be celebrating American Education Week. We celebrate the power of public education and thank the educators and staff who do so much to make our public schools an authentic place to learn. Also, we will be hosting educational leaders from other schools in Virginia in review of being a redesignated School to Watch. Please join me in attending the PTA meeting this Tuesday at 5pm. I will be sharing information about Title IX and the process the administration follows. Lastly, if possible, we asking for your support in our annual food drive for families in need across Loudoun. Our food drive will be this entire week and end on Friday, November 18th. We will start our drive tomorrow with Macaroni Monday. Students are asked to bring in pasta and sauces to their advisory teacher. Also, the SAC is looking for volunteers to deliver food drive donations to Loudoun Hunger Relief on Friday, November 18, 9:30-10am. If you are able to volunteer please sign up through the PTA link listed in the PTA section of the newsletter.
Review the newsletter in its entirety to ensure you don't miss important and awesome things happening at the "Park". Have an amazing week on purpose, for a purpose because YOU have purpose!

Unified Mental Health Team (UMHT) Updates:
In 2021 SAMHSA’s “Talk. They Hear You.” campaign mobile app helps parents and caregivers prepare for some of the most important conversations they may ever have with their kids. It shows them how to turn everyday situations into opportunities to talk with children about alcohol and other drugs, and equips them with the necessary skills, confidence, and knowledge to start and continue these conversations as their kids get older. The app also helps prepare communities to implement and promote the campaign locally and educators to engage student assistance professionals, school leaders, and families in supporting the needs of students who may be struggling with substance use, mental health, or school-related issues. Learn more at www.samhsa.gov/underage-drinking/mobile-application.

SchoolCash Online
How does it work?
SchoolCash Online is the industry leader in the safe and secure management of school fees. Schools post their items and activities and assign the relevant fees to your student, so you can then make purchases online using your credit card.
Register now!
You can always create a SchoolCash Online account at any time by going to the SchoolCash Online website and clicking “Register.”
If you have any difficulties registering for an account, please contact the SchoolCash Online parent help desk by visiting: schoolcashonline.com/Home/Support.
Please note:
SchoolCash Online is not used for meal payments. We have a meal payment system called TITAN Family Portal, that allows students to put money on an account to purchase school meals or other food items in our school cafeterias.
