Weather//Climate -

El Salvador's dry season is between November and April. The rainy season is between May and October. The Central Plateau drops rarely below ten degrees Celsius, and Coastal areas are hot throughout the year. Upland areas have a more temperate climate.

Historical Sights -

A few popular tourist attractions are La Joya de Ceren, San Andres, and Casablanca. The Mayan ruins of Tazumal is considered one of El Salvador's best preserved ancient ruins. Another site is Panchimalco Indian Village.

Government -

The president is state and head of the government. The president may be selected for one five year term. There are eighty four unicameral Legislative Assembly members elected for three years. El Salvador is divided among fourteen departments.

Population -

El Salvador's population is estimated at about six point thirty four million people.

Leisure Activities -

Surfing - El Salvador's coastline is great for surfing. The hotel Miraflores is a view from above Las Flores. The surfers take boats to Punta Mango to surf the biggest waves in the country.

Monetary System -

The united states dollar is the official currency of El Salvador. Its modern monetary system consists of central banks.

Food -

The food in El Salvador is different along with the diverse method of cooking for this country. There food is some what influenced by the Spanish.
