Please complete Connectivity Survey and complete US 2020 Census
Letter emailed to families on Tuesday, April 28, 2020
One of the favorite aspects of my job as Superintendent of Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation is bragging about the most awesome students, parents, and teachers in the State of Indiana. Most recently, I have had the opportunity to tell an inspirational story about our RBB family rolling up their sleeves to do their best during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Crisis.
Your hard work to support our eLearning Days will pay off in many ways when school returns to normal for our students. Thank you!
I need your help in two very important ways.
I know that you have so much on your plate but just a few minutes of your time to complete two surveys will help our students for many years.
With parents like you as partners with RBBCSC, the children of our community are in great hands!
Survey #1: eLearning Internet Connectivity for RBB Families
I hope that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Crisis will quickly improve so that we can start school in the fall on a normal schedule. I also want to make sure that RBBCSC is as prepared as possible in case school is disrupted for an extended period of time in the future.
For most families, I know that eLearning is going well. I worry about those families who are struggling with eLearning because of poor or no connectivity to the Internet.
I am putting together a team to explore options for increasing Internet connectivity for families in the Richland and Bean Blossom Townships. The team will also be charged with finding sources of funding. We will need accurate data In order to be prepared to write quality grants and other funding proposals.

You may also pick up a paper version of the survey at the following locations:
- RBBCSC Corporation Office
- Healthy Meals Campus Pick-Up Site at EJHS (Mondays only)
- Healthy Meals Food Truck Sites (Mondays only)
You may also call the RBBCSC Corporation Office at 812-876-7100.
Survey #2: 2020 US Census
Please remember to complete the 2020 Census.
Future funding for our school corporation and community depends heavily on data gathered from the 2020 Census. For RBBCSC, this means that our budget for important programs such as special education, Title I, and Head Start will be impacted for several years. Every child should be counted!
The U.S. Census Bureau will accept responses online, by phone or mail. Here is an online link: https://2020census.gov/en/ways-to-respond.html

It's time to think about plans for next year at EECC!
EECC Enrollment: Half-Day Pre-K Options Available!
While most of our classes for our Emerging Fours (turning three by October 1) and full-day pre-K are full, we do have a handful of spaces left for the 2020-21 school year in our half-day pre-K classes for students turning four by October 1). These half-day classes (offered two, three, or five days a week) are an excellent, affordable way to give your child the first experience with school. If you're interested in learning more about our preschool program, please contact Matt Wooden (email@example.com) or visit our website to enroll (http://www.rbbcsc.k12.in.us/enrollment).
